I need an outside opinion on these schools; I get the feeling my parents are a little too optimistic:

Fordham
UM-College Park
NYU
Syracuse
Boston University
Colgate
And whatever you think is a better match; I don't have any set choices!

you're a match for all of them, except NYU which would be a tiny reach (basically you still have an amazing shot at NYU). you should just research the schools and decide which one's the best fit for you. i think you're parents aren't too optimistic; colleges want successful black students very badly. i also think that those schools are good academic fits for you

Bump up the jams!

I think you're in at all of them except Colgate.

I really like Colgate but I think I'm more of a city girl anyway...

Good shot at Fordham. Bring those SAT's up a tad bit to be considered for some scholarship.

Agreed with komargo. :)
