bump! and if it isnt too much trouble, could you guys please give me some type of reasons?

I think I’ve seen you before here on CC Chances.

You are a top student. Cream of the crop.

I think you will get into UC Irvine, UCSD, and Johns Hopkins.

(I am not familiar enough with Caltech or USC to guess.)

The others are reaches for you because they are reaches for everyone. Hard to predict who they will accept. You have a better chance than most. As a California resident, UCLA and Berkeley seem likely.

ab2013, i made one over the summer, but for only a small number of schools.
now i’ve added some new things and established my final college list.

Thanks for the chancee MidewestMom2Kids and specdrifter!!

bump please
=]

First…thanks for chancing me! Secondly…Dang, I would kill for your SAT score!!! Congrats on Valedictorian status! So her is my “chance” for you…

CalTech EA -Reach
Stanford - crapshoot…but perhaps a bit higher on your SAT and ???
USC - Totally IN!
UC Berkeley - IN!
UC Los Angeles - IN!
UC San Diego - IN!
UC Irvine - IN for sure!!!
Columbia - very possible!
Harvard - same as Stanford
Brown - Yep…i think your IN!
Johns Hopkins - Match…based especially on your EC"s

Write an incredible essay about your passion and wrap up those EC’s together in that essay…man…i think your really going to get into some awesome schools!
Good Luck…Shoot for the stars…! :)

Sweet resume, man
alot of the colleges that will be your reaches are gonna be the ones who don’t love that critical reading you have

i’m the same way on the ACT tho haha (29 reading, 36 math)

so yeah
CalTech EA - lower reach
Stanford - mid reach
USC - in fa sho
UC Berkeley - low reach
UC Los Angeles good match
UC San Diego - high reach.. jk hahah safety
UC Irvine - safety
Columbia - reach
Harvard - upper reach
Brown - low reach
Johns Hopkins - match

The critical reading does stand out, the ECs are many but none is spectacular. Your rank is great but your school is unknown. I think Harvard, Stanford, Caltech are super-high-reaches right now. But who knows, maybe the recommendations will be glowing and your essays will be powerful. Good luck with the critical reading and work on those essays.

If you can get your CR up you will stand much betetr chances.

CalTech EA - reach
Stanford - reach
USC - match
UC Berkeley - match
UC Los Angeles - match
UC San Diego - in
UC Irvine - in
Columbia - high match
Harvard - reach
Brown - high match
Johns Hopkins - high match

hey thanks everyone!!
i’m tryin to bring that Critical Reading up in this October’s exam; I hope everything goes well. I appreciate the time you all gave me!
how would a 720+ reading affect my chances? would it make them drastically bigger or only help a little bit?

do you think a college like CalTech cares about CR scores if they’re low??
