applying early action

i want to go to lincoln center as my first choice, but would accept rose hill

any places of improvement/suggestions will help!

i would be suprised if you get rejected. i'd say your in.

yeah, I would say that you are probably in. I am not going to make it a definate, like so many others on here because the application process can be fickle. My twin brother is attending Fordham in the fall. He got a 1400 on the SATs, his rank was a little better, ECs were strong. but he applied as a safety. He got rejected from his first Choice Hamiliton and thought he'd be shipping off to Richester. He visited Fordham and loved it. My parents are actually paying more for him to go there than for me to go to Wesleyan but he loves it. He also has connections through my dads best friend so he gets his pick of classes and His work study. But Once again, I'm confident you'll get in. Its a great school no matter what most of these elitists say.

I wont comment to say that you are a shoe in. I will leave that to Fordham Admissions people on this site to give you a hint.

But, your scores are in the middle 50% percentile of who they took this year. Next year is also expected to be a record year in applications. So while you look among the "acceptibili" from here, I would consider adding more AP courses in Senior year and make sure you bust your behind, particularly first semester. Your GPA seems a little low, even if unweighted. But I guess that Fordham looks at the school, its rigor, how many AP's are offered and so forth.

My D got in with a 3.5 unweighted and 4.3 weighted, due in large part because her school is VERY tough, with a strong reputation, she took between 7 and 10 AP's, they have a 7pt grading scale (93-100 is an A, 85-85-92 is a B etc.) and she had EC's up the wazzoo....really focused EC's at that.

But every year, at every college, there are kids who get in who you think wont make it, and kids who should make it who don't.

Best of luck to you and hope to see you there in a year.
