Dream Schoool- chance me for ED? :)

I’m applying to CGS, ED.

17 y/o White female

W GPA: 3.32
SAT: 1980 (760 CR/ 640 W/ 580 M)

EC’s:
-Student Leader and Official Youth Reporter for a youth-run professional organizational event
2 years
(it’s hard to explain what this is without getting detailed…but basically I was in a position of leadership, responsibilities involved designing social media platform, engaging with other students running the event across the country, working with professional PR companies, etc)

-Internship at local acclaimed theater for 4 years- last 2 years position of leadership as the Social Media Liaison on the Student Board.

-Stage Managed school production and highly engaged in theater program at school throughout high school

-Co-President of school knitting-charity club for 2 years

-106 hrs of community service at local animal shelter

-Russian tutor for 3 different kids for 11 months now. (I’m fluent)

-Attended Law Camp at Stanford last summer.

I’ve shown a good amount of demonstrated interest, attended receptions, have a dialogue going with my admissions reader via email…don’t know how much bearing this has really, but why not mention!

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I’d really love to be a terrier so hopefully this will get me there!

Oh, also, I wrote my essay about my parent’s immigration from a foreign country and how this effected my upbringing and character.

You seem to have a pretty good chance, I would say the only thing is your GPA, it’s fairly low for BU. How many honor/AP classes have you taken? My DD got into CGS with a little bit lower SAT score but a much higher GPA.

I’ve taken 6 AP classes but I didn’t do well in two (ap euro and apes) because I was sort of going through a rough patch. I’ve taken a few honors classes too, pretty much all that were made available to me, but my school does not weigh honors classes at all.

1st quarter grades are in and my gpa is now a 3.4, which will be reflected on my application. make a difference?

bumpity bump
