Chance me please for:

MSU BS/DO program
Case Western PPSP
Wayne State MedStart
Northwestern Program
Rice/Baylor
UPitt if I get 33
Penn State
Any other med proggies

And a few B schools:
Wharton (Penn)
Ross Bussiness (UofM)

Maybe a few Ivies.

I really don't want to take SAT IIs.

You seem to have some GREAT ECs, but you definitely want to look into taking some SAT IIs…I’m pretty sure some of the programs, like Northwestern, require that you have a couple SAT IIs and you will be at a serious disadvantage even at some of the other programs that might not require it. But if you don’t want to take them, just work on boosting that ACT score (34-35 ideally) and make sure to check that the programs you’re applying to don’t require SAT IIs.

Advice: Add U of Toledo - has 2 combined programs, drop PPSP, HPME. You are the one to decide, though.

@MiamiDAP
I am probably going to drop HPME. CWRU I have heard focus a lot on research. My sis with similar stats and ECs (32 ACT, 4.0) was rejected from PPSP but she did not have research. Maybe I will have a better shot now. Case is probably my top choice.
I will probably drop HPME. Can’t afford it.

@John
Thanks for that. I am retaking my ACT in september and would settle for a 34.

Anyone else?

^My D. got rejected from PPSP before interview. She was accepted to 3 combined programs at state schools and finishing her UG in one of them. She graduated #1 from small private HS, she had all EC’s, including research. This is just for your reference.

Did she have the kind of volunteering experience like me? Leadership roles? I’m just trying to slot myself in as best as I can. PPSP would be my number 1: great UG, scholarships, great med school.

I kind of have a stigma that I don’t want to go to like a tier 4 UG even if I got into a program. I still want the college experience.

thanks

MiamiDAP, why would you tell him to drop HPME and PPSP? Because your daughter didn’t get in or didn’t apply to them? He can apply to wherever he wants. Plus, his EC’s show a strong passion for medicine, much more than I’ve seen in most posts - or any descriptions of the supposedly “formative” shadowing experience your daughter had.

I know your daughter got into 3 programs, because I see your ubiquitous posts, and that’s great. But really. He asked how his chances looked, not which schools he should drop. I respect your telling him to add U of Toledo, but with medical ECs like that…why would you ever tell him to drop PPSP and HPME?

chemwz,
OP is seeking advice. I gave him advice based on my experience. It is not clear why you are asking me about my advice. Just state your opinion, which does not have to be the same as mine. He can apply to whatever, I or anybody else has no desire to prevent him or force him to apply to any school, I state what I think. Otherwise, advice would have no meanning. I am not the center of discussion here, as much as I am honored, your post is not helpful to OP.

Bump. Retook ACT, stayed at 32 unfortunately. Not taking SAT 2s.

Chance mee!!

you’ll probably get into wayne state because you are in-state. That increases your chances a lot…
