At the Boarding School I am going next year then dress code says you have to wear Khakis and Collared Shirts. I was wondering if you can wear sneakers with that clothing or do you have to wear dress shoes?
If it doesn’t say anything about shoes, you can probably wear sneakers; I do at Groton. That’s a good question to ask and observe on revisit day.
@stargirl3 My daughter just got into Groton, we are so excited for her! For the dress code there do you wear dresses and skirts everyday? Also, are you allowed to wear legging with a dress? Thank you!
@firstimeprep The dress code is much more relaxed than it seems. Some girls wear skirts and dresses all the time, but I prefer non-blue jeans, khakis, and corduroys. It’s super common to wear black leggings as pants; we’ve all done it.
My son wears sneakers every day at Groton. I sent him with some dress shoes, but they haven’t been worn once. I don’t think he even wore them to the winter dance!
