I know this might sound retarded, but there is going to be a local college informational session in my town. The colleges include Penn, Harvard, Stanford, Duke, and Georgetown. Does anyone known whether I should dress formally with jacket and tie or how? Since I have never attended an outside informational session I don't want to come casual, while everyone is formal? Get the jist. If anyone knows the dress code for these kind of events that would be great. Thanks

Bump… Can you just quickly respond because this event is today.

DO NOT WEAR A SUIT, you will look like a tool.

A polo tee with well-pressed khakis, or a button-down shirt with pants. I would not wear jeans.

Wear golf attire… there will be a few crazy intense asian kids there with suit and tie, then there will be some ignorant asian kids and grungy white kids wearing jeans and ripped shirts and other BS. stay the middle ground and go for what you would consider “golf attire” or church clothes. khaki pants/shorts, polo shirt/casual button down and you will look legit

i went to that same presentation last yr…don’t wear jeans but don’t over do it with a suit and whatnot. think of it as business casual.

I wore a t-shirt and jeans one year and a solid polo and khakis (school standardized dress) another.

For Penn, I still got into Wharton. Dress comfortably.

this is probably too late but I wore jeans and flip flops. and i got in
