Hey, Von Maur can be good. But for “nasty” shoes, they really do rule.

Mafool, it was me on the quest for <$150 summer dresses and I hadn’t thought of Garnet Hill but those are darling - tho not the polk dots for me - just not a polka dot gal.

Anthropologie dresses usually are a terrible cut for me, but I do buy basic cardigans, jeans etc. there.

Here are some examples of the matching pant suits I was mentioning. As I say, if you wait long enough, everything old really does becomes new again (usually with some twist).

Just shoot me. I went to the mall and got inspired to check the web for the little Kooba bag I saw at Nordy’s. Surely enough, there was an even cuter one online - light blue, just perfect for my black and white outfits! Major damage done! The Burberry bag I bought earlier is going back 'cause I can’t survive on air to be able to afford both Frankly, I do need a small bag for outings. My very large purse was somewhat awkward to lug around during our wine tasting trip.
(I did get a small consolation monetary prize today: DD begged me to change her plane ticket, and the price dropped enough to cover the change fee and leave me with a small refund!)

I’ve been looking for a small turquoise bag for a long time, and this is exactly what I wanted: a wallet that can be worn like a crossbody bag. Nordy’s had a bunch of Hobo and Coach bags, but they were either too large or too “bling-y”. I looked all over the Kooba site, and I could not find the bag that triggered my Internet shopping quest. It was called “Sam”. If I see it, I’ll post a link.

^^^very nice. I like it too…but would rather spend my money on good food :). Maybe that’s why I need to drop a few pounds.

Don’t remember who recommended it but I purchased a black straw bag (on endless) to go with my black/white and turquoise outfit. Wearing black patent shoes…so not too “matchy matchy.”

Well, I have a hard time competing with the bags on this thread…don’t like to spend that much money! But I thought this was cute, inexpensive, and I can use it for other things this summer.

Bunsenburner, a long while back in this thread you posted a link to a Tommy Bahama dress. I had never purchased anything TB before. After much waffling back and forth, I finally was inspired to order this one:

in Mandarin Orange. It was finally delivered yesterday and I LOVE IT! We are traveling to Hawaii this summer and this will be perfect for our trip. I just love everything about this dress! Thanks for the great idea!

The shoes are very nice. I don’t like the first clutch - I like the idea, but it looks cheap, even if it isn’t. I like the second clutch and I think that it looks best in gray. I know that you’re looking for a bit of color, but the gray looks sophisticated - you’re right, it does seem “prissy” in the purple. Add a big pearl choker and you’ll look like a million bucks!
