Well, the model’s legs are much longer than mine, so the shorts look much longer on me. They are a little longer than half the length of my thigh. I just cannot wear bermuda shorts; I must be shorter than I think I am :)

Congratulations, Booklady! On your DD’s graduation AND being well dressed for such an occasion. Not easy to pull off.

emeraldkity4, I’ve been keeping my eye on an adorable title nine dress but couldn’t see paying $10 in shipping. Today, I received an email about $5 flat rate shipping so I’ve finally ordered it. Thanks again.

Thanks, sewhappy. I’m not much of a dress-wearer, so it was great to find one that both looks good on me and is comfortable to wear. I love this thread. :)

I’m finding more dresses and clothes in general I like this year than in the past few. I cannot wear any kind of empire waist and that trend was absolutely everywhere for awhile.

Booklady, I just checked out your dress. Love it! Want it!

Missypie,

Have you tried a Wacoal bra? They make several underwire styles that are really supportive and comfortable. The right bra can make an enormous difference in how clothes fit. I see so many women with the girls hanging down to there and there is no reason why they shouldn’t be able to find a good bra.

lol - “girls” ?

Yes, it’s true tho about getting a good fit for the bra. A good friend swears by a sales lady in the Nordstrom lingerie department in Palo Alto. This friend has moved all over the country for her career but flies back to Atlanta every now and then to get re-fitted by the Nordstrom bra wizard!

I want to second Gourmetmom’s recommendation of Wacoal. They’re the only bras that fit me really well, and while they’re not inexpensive, they’re not stratospherically priced like La Perla, etc. They’re also well made and last quite a while (I was going to say they ‘hold up’ well, which they also do!)

not so much of a problem when the “girls” are small…lol. I love camisoles with shelf bras. Lots of colors. Very comfy. Just don’t need that much support.

toneranger - I’m with you…but Wacoal also makes a good jersey bra for those of us who need no more.

“Girls” is the official term used by Stacy and Clinton :)

Wacoal is great. A few other brands that make very nice, great fitting bras are Chantelle, Marie Jo (my favorite), Prima Donna (Marie’s sister :)). I can get away with wearing a $15 dress, but I have yet to find a really cheap bra that is comfortable and supportive. My bras cost more than my outfits, LOL!

another issue for comfortable, breathable bras: headlights! I have a product like this http://www.amazon.com/Dimrs-Self-Adhesive-Silicone-Nipple-Covers/dp/B000LK1Z9O (though mine did not cost so much) and they work very well. I can wear lightweight bras with these and not be advertising my personal reaction to temperature changes.

My “girls” are tiny tots and I usually find a reinforced cami sufficient and comfortable. Also am a fan of the Champion sports bra package of 2 at costco for 20 bucks.

BTW, still searching for the perfect summer cardigan in white and black - still haven’t made it over to J.Crew to try theirs on.

I am still looking for a sports bra- I have some patagonia and moving comfort- I used to wear the Donna Karan underwire- before I had a reduction, but now they feel like the wire is gonna poke my chin.

I have also worn frog bras from Title Nine- but it can be harder to get them on and off than it is to do a chin up:p

I like thinner bras- I do not like the trend of making so many with foam * shaping*. Even though I had a reduction, I still don’t want to add a mm more than I have to- plus it makes them so hot!

Google “Something Comfortable” and check out the extensive line of undergarments available. The owner is a dear childhood friend and I think she would be willing to give you some advice. Proper fitting is a passion for her.

By the way, Sue is absolutely stunning and as nice as she is beautiful.

So, I swore off this thread for awhile - I was starting to think I “needed” all sorts of things.

But I think I have conquered my addiction and read responsibly.

[Gracie’s Gear And Training | Gracie’s Gear Short Top](http://www.graciesgearandtraining.com/html/products-shorttop.php) My favorite sports bras. That little pocket comes in handy for a car key, hotel key, etc.

Psst… Nordstrom’s sale started today… But the good stuff is ready gone since the sale unofficialy began online two days ago.

MOfWC, thanks! That top looks very promising. I like the pouch/pocket idea.

Sorry about typos - can’t edit my posts on this phone.

BunsenBurner- thought of you this morning. I skipped Nordstrom’s today. I rarely find anything at this sale. Plus have done plenty of online shopping and I am feeling like I need to slow down.
The packages are arriving daily! Yesterday the order from the equestrian company. Presents for D’s 16th birthday. Today was my favorite brand of bubble bath that I found on Amazon for a significant savings over what I usually pay retail locally. Also arriving today were my two Jane Marvel bags from RueLaLa. One is perfect, the other is a bit large. Both are very nicely made. Also arriving today my first order from Gilt. Plain Juicy sweats for D2 and a cute Juicy plain jacket for D1. Still waiting on my REI order.
