^^ Never knew those existed! Good idea. I wonder how that effects the support.
I am hooked on the Garnethill site, I think I am going to get this one:
@Nhatrang - that looks so cool and comfy for Florida heat and humidity! But, it seems a little short?? I hope you will report back on the length. I know itās listed in the description. I probably need to determine what my personal sweet spot is for length in tops. I think I have mentioned before that I have a long torso proportionate to my height.
Have we talked midi skirts? I am starting to see them in the boutiques in my town. I love the length on me (I am tall, plus covers the droopy knees). I picked up one today at a little shop in town (trying to support local businesses of course! )
Itās a cream color, with buttons down the front - I figure I can dress it up or down, it will be good for WFH and being out. I know I can pair a solid T with it but curious what else would go? And whether you think midi skirts will be a style with staying power?
@surfcity I love midi length skirts (and dresses) because I am not crazy about my old legs these daysā¦but I also loved them when I was young. I remember a few midi skirts from those days very fondly! Easier to wear, in my opinion, that short skirts.
For summer, a striped tee or sweater would be fun. I think the top needs to be short or tucked in, usually, to balance the length of the skirt. Or half-tucked/French tuck if youāre good at that. I have a cropped cardigan that I like with midi-skirts.
If itās cream color wouldnāt just about anything go with it? Solid or print?
Is it a more straight skirt or full?
@abasket I found a photo of it online: https://shop-threads.com/collections/skirts-1/products/woven-button-down-midi-skirt?variant=32139891376194
I was more thinking what style or structure on top. I agree with @orangepurple that it should be fitted or tucked in. A crop top perhaps that still doesnāt show any skin :). OR a tied at the waist shirt
Black fitted tee or cami tucked in and a cropped cardigan or shirt tied at the waist? A peasant top?
Thatās the reason I like the top, itās short on a 6 foot model, I can only hope that it looks similar on me, above the butt. Iāll let you guys know how it is, I just ordered it.
@surfcity I read your post as āminiā skirts twice, until I red other postsā¦
I was thinking my mini skirt days is long goneā¦lol
I totally dig that front button skirt. Now I want oneā¦ and a cute cropped linen sweater with short sleevesā¦ off to look for stuff. ?
I like that skirt, but I could never sit around my house and work from home in it. Itās hot here and I like to go outside on the deck a little bit during the day. And for now I donāt really seem to be going anywhere muchā¦ I am wearing shorts all day with a nicer top if I have a meeting that warrants one.
Any thoughts on cute and comfortable flip flops/thong footwear for those of us with high arches and medium to wide feet? Thanks! Itās so hard to know just by looking online and not being able to try the footwear on!
@HImom ,
Vionics are awesome! They also come in wide, which is what I wear. I have the Bella Toe post.
Vionics are great!!
For rubbery flip flops, I highly recommend Oofos. They are the only flip flops I can wear (I hate the thing in between my toes).
My WFH wardrobe is easy, since we are almost never on-camera anymore (or just teeny video window in group call). Mainly we share presentations etc.
Same as @colorado_mom i donāt turn on my camera so most time just T-shirt and comfy pants.
So I donāt buy new clothes for work, I buy because I am bored, and I want something new and look nice in the weekend.
@surfcity I really like that skirt.
I donāt think I would wear it with that little midriff-baring top itās shown with, lol!
@HImom these are the ones I like
