I was only looking for another pair of Align pants…
Did you get it, @BunsenBurner I love it, but I haven’t always had the best luck with Lulu dresses. Maybe without tight sleeves it would be good. Hmmmm. What color?
It is ordered! In the cranberry color. I will let you know how it fits.
Don’t bother. I already ordered it- also cranberry color! We can be twins!
LOL @MomofWildChild !!!
@BunsenBurner @MomofWildChild lol! It’s fun to dress as twins.
I like the look of that dress–I have something similar in black, and it’s pretty easy to wear, but I like cranberry better!
I’ve been inspired by the recent chat here to go through my summer dresses and skirts, trying to see what works and what doesn’t. I ended up not ordering any of the Garnet Hill dresses under discussion because I had things that were too similar, so I put those out in front of the closet. Today I am wearing a hand me down linen midi sundress that I took because I love the color and the shape, but I hadn’t been wearing it because the top is too bare for me. I decided to wear it with a t-shirt underneath as kind of a jumper. I also decided to give away two skirts because I just can’t figure out how to wear them without feeling dumpy looking–I tried tucking tops in and having them out, slim tops and loose, cropped ones…somehow I don’t like any of them. I think really dresses are better for me, at least the ones that suit my body. So anyhow thanks everyone for the inspiration to go through my closet!
Good grief! As I am reading this thread, I am seeing ads for “spicy lingerie”! ?
I plan to go through my closet soon, @BunsenBurner
I should have done it before schlepping all my clothing to our new place. It wasn’t until I was schlepping that I realized just how much (TOO much) I have! Waaaaay, too many dressy clothes.
I definitely have way too much now that I’m not going to the office. We certainly were casual, but I liked to have fun, cute clothes. Now I don’t wear them. But I don’t know what the future holds so I don’t want to get rid of everything. I had to have stuff for more business type occasions, too- the blazers and nice pants, skirts…will I ever wear them again?
So true, @MomofWildChild! I had to “dress up” for our Teams meeting today. I threw on a DVF shirtdress… Would not think about wearing it into the office because it is too short… but the screen is barely waist deep. lol!
I read somewhere that sales of skirts and pants are lagging behind… but sales of tops are somewhat robust.
LOL - I read a few months ago that Walmart had that trend of tops-selling-better. It probably due to Zoom etc. But perhaps also folks have gained weight, not wanting to think that is a permanent state… better to just stick with elastic waistline
I like the Lulu dress and love the cassis color. It’s a great color on me! I don’t need another dress! What are you thinking for shoes with it? The model has clunky sneakers on which I can’t imagine is what @BunsenBurner has in mind.
I Am struggling with what shoes to wear with this dress https://www.nordstrom.com/s/ag-bayle-sleeveless-shirtdress/5485971 I want something flat. I wore it for a big day out this week with Allbird tree runners sneakers. Lol big day was dropping off some soup at my sister, doing a quick pick up at the office and the grocery store. These days I’m not going anywhere but the grocery store, restaurant pick up or a walk. I love the dress and find it very comfortable, my husband not a fan of the dress.
Pfft husbands! I love the AG dress you got. IMO, it is versatile. Can be worn with anything from flats to sneakers to heels! I am going to see if I like the Lulu dress and if I do, whether it survives in my wardrobe… the last sleeveless I got was quickly snatched by kiddo. I am thinking about wearing it with tennis-style sneakers. I really liked midi dress/chunky oxfords pairing of the past years’ Max Mara… But not chunky sneakers. I am thinking more like Allbirds or Keds.
I returned the Sofia Vergara jumpsuit and bought this pattern instead (the waterfall). I think it would be fun to wear a sandal color that would pop, instead of the more basic white, blue, or nude. A wedge is preferable, but block heel would be fine. Ankle strap is what I’m looking for.
I’m thinking yellow or red? What else would work with this jumpsuit. I’m a little at a loss. I saw these, what do you think? I’m not sure if I should go bold or soft? I’ve never really mixed colors before like that, but my SIL does and it always looks so trendy and young.

Love your new jumpsuit color even better. Patent red. ? Knock them dead.!
@BunsenBurner , thanks? I found these and ordered them. I actually bought them in black and beige several years ago and came across them last night while searching. I like that the heel isn’t 4 inches!
I think the Chinese Meridress dresses are finally showing up today. I filed a complaint with Paypal and the seller finally came up with some US tracking information. I ordered June 4 and got the first shipping information (in Chinese) on June 4. Stay tuned.
@MomofWildChild , it took almost 6 weeks for me to get my bathing suit! Hang tight.
@conmama I like your jumpsuit and agree it will look great with a colored shoe- enjoy!
Love that jumpsuit @conmama
@BunsenBurner Got the Lulu midi dress. I’m going to keep it, but it is VERY form fitting. Will require some Spanx or the Lulu shorts. It’s very comfortable and cute.
Thanks for the review, @MomofWildChild ! Ugh, mine has not even shipped! It is going to be hot here this week, and I was sooo hoping that it would arrive. Maybe… maybe… maybe… fingers crossed ?
