Orange purple, I’ve been wearing bralettes and least restrictive sports bras. Bralettes have Lacy straps, and come in regular and racer back styles.
I never wore dresses nor skirts to work, so could sit comfortably. Now I wish I had a few. My on-line order from a company that had such cute ones turned out to be from China, with cheapest fabric ever. I lost my case with PayPal. I only ventured into one local store, where I was the only customer, but no luck. I’m pleased so many of you find such good styles on-line.
I’m mostly a low-maintenance kind of gal… but I see some great clothing ideas in these links.
Thirty years ago, I used to joke to husband that it was good he married me for my mind (and sense of humor) - “Beauty fades quickly… and brains, they have much slower decline”. Dang, heading into the age of brain decline - better head over to the Fitness thread, keep the oxygen pumping
I’ve ordered a couple of bralette styles from the Nordstrom anniversary sale but I haven’t received them yet. I am planning on wearing them under some of the dresses that I how wear a racer back bra with. It’s hot and I have found myself wearing casual dresses more even if I’m just at home.
I read an article a few days ago that a trend with younger women who are working from home is a revival of the “house dress”. Flowy, shapeless and out of comfortable fabric.
I ordered a couple of the true and co bras from the Nordstrom anniversary sale. Just got them, no, not for me. They were way too flimsy for me. Going back.
I ordered a Spanx bralette and one from True and Co. , I haven’t received them yet. I don’t need a lot of support so I hope they work for me. I ordered the True % co one in a pale pink and the Spanx in black.
I’m new to CC and already found a bra discussion! :). I’ve had both the True and the Spanx. Definitely for less well-endowed gals, but good quality and pretty. Good luck with your order!
I’m wearing the Spanx bra-llejujah today. I think it is well made, comfortable and looks good under a summer sleeveless dress. I’m a 34 B/C depending on the bra and I bought the medium. I have a lot of room in the cups so I think it would fit someone with a larger bust. It’s plenty supportive for me. The True bra hasn’t even shipped yet.
@Hoggirl I love that dress in blue! I personally don’t see how blue gets tossed aside for fall - I would even pair it with a lightweight black cardigan or shrug type top. Or wear it with 7/8 length leggings if it’s cooler. The blue is beautiful! (says the woman who has very little of typical fall colors like “browns” in her closet)
I also think blue is fine for fall. I’m not a black or brown wearer, so I would go for blues, reds and greens. Love the dress! I can see that this thread is going to hurt my budget…
I have obsessed about this Ralph Lauren wrap around Boho style Maxi dress ever since I saw it on a TV show. It’s 7 years old and really hard to come by. I found it today, price is good, but it’s not something I typically wear. I bought a cheap, sort of looks like it, maxi on Amazon that is more casual, its very pretty though.
I love this dress, but not sure where I’d ever wear it. It’s very romantic, I’d love to wear on vacation at a vineyard in the Tuscan countryside. Haha. But I don’t know where else, since it’s not typically my style. But it’s really too much to pack for travel I think.
I did!! I’ve been wanting that dress for so long, I thought why not. It retailed fir over $300 and I got it for $50. Now, just need to get to that instead in Italy. The one I linked is not the listing I purchased.
If you like animal prints (I ADORE them) be sure to check out White House/Black Market’s new collection. I just placed an order that included several of the “ravine” brown snake pieces. Most I’ve spent on clothing since March.
