<p>I donât always look for tall clothes. I am 5â10â with average length legs - all my height is in my torso so it is very hard to find shirts, jackets, bathing suits, etc that fit properly. I make do and avoid certain styles (those cropped jackets look ridiculous on me!). I just received my first order from LTS and I am pleased with the quality. the sizing is a little off - almost everything is big on me (and not because I have stuck faithfully to my diet!) so I will be exchanging.</p>

<p>Hey - you may have problems with your knees, but I have a LOT of extra skin on my elbows. My arms are really very slim, but there is this elephant-textured stuff on the elbows that is really ugly. Sometimes my DH likes to pinch it. Sometimes I like to punch my DH. </p>
<p>I often think, a surgeon could just clip it off and I would have plenty to spare. Not to long ago, my dad, who is 83 and looks like Spencer Tracy was standing in a short sleeve shirt and son of gun, I realized our elbows were identical. I guess I should just be happy I donât look like Spencer Tracy.</p>

<p>Iâm 5â12 (heh heh) with long legs but the âtallâ pants Iâve bought in the past have been WAY long (by 2-3 inches!). Yet, most regular pants are too short. </p>
<p>Also, there used to be a tall shop near us. I walked in one dayâŠyikesâŠthe clothes were awful and overpriced. So I usually stick with good brands and then have my tailor take out the hems. </p>
<p>WIPâŠmy mom had the fat pads on the knees. We all have our little curses. We just need to work around them. Black tights work for me in the cool weatherâŠbut I get self conscious with the âbare legâ look. My elbows are reasonably OK. Even so, I like those 3/4 sleeves!</p>

<p>Iâm 5â7" and have the same problem. I have bought several pair of casual pants from LLBean of all places because they sell some styles in a âmedium tallâ length that works for me.</p>

<p>I LOVE dressing young, which in my case means dressing like a 9-year old boy from the 1960âs â in dungarees and sneakers. But, since baggy dungarees are generally not cool for 48-year old moms to wear out and about, I am still looking for jeans that fit well. I find that the pants from Bean and Lands End tend to run too long in the crotch. I was sure that one of the new fit styles from Eddie Bauer would work well, but same deal there. Old Navy jeans are too low in the back and always too big in the hip. I have a couple pairs from Gap that are merely OK. Am still looking for that perfect comfy pair. I miss having a waistline, which doesnât help matters either. In the old days if I gained weight it was generally in my thighs. Now itâs my stomach. bleh.</p>
<p>I swear by Levis jeans, for basics, and Seven for all Mankind for dress, or Goldsign for trouser jeans. Thatâs for someone of average height and weight, but also long waisted. YMMV.</p>

<p>I got a pair of KUT jeans based on a recommendation here. Dark, sort of âskinnyâ jeans. Perfect length and very slimming. Love em.</p>
<p>I live in the burbs of NY and still havenât heard of most of these brands, but will look â maybe places like Marshalls or TJ Maxx? Thereâs a NY & Co jeans place that was touted as having jeans that fit EVERY woman. May try to head over there one of these evenings.</p>

<p>lspf72, love the look you described - dungarees and sneakers! Thatâs me on a daily basis. </p>
<p>D2 laughs whenever I tell her I should start dressing my age. She still borrows a few pieces from me (a few tops, dresses; but really, mostly accessories <<one size fits anyone, haha!) and loves to pick stuff out for me when we shop. D2 is of the opinion that some items of clothing can be worn by a woman whether sheâs 17 or 47 - like boots or blazers. </p>
<p>Which is GREAT, because I do love wearing boots of any kind, with skinny jeans and sometimes with a dress. I will probably have to stop wearing my shorter denim skirts though. It just doesnât feel right anymore, heh. Going into my 50s though I will probably still want my skinny jeans and boots, and adapt more longish tops, like blazers and cardis that go to mid-thigh, or those longer t-shirts that are the greatest thing since sliced bread. </p>
<p>My fear is that when D2 goes away to school in the fall, there goes my in-house stylist, and Iâll start trading comfort for style. Will probably start making D2 put my outfits together for me via Skype.</p>

<p>Yes, Iâm pretty sure those are the ones! I ordered my regular size and they worked fine. Although the inseam doesnât seem right - mine were about 34 inches⊠but they work great cause Iâm tall.

<p>Jeans sizing is all over the place. Depending on the brand, I wear size 4, 6, or 8. (For the brand that fits me in a size 4, I have to wonder what truly thin women do? They would have to wear a size -2)</p>
