Dressing Young (Part 2)

Really cute choices! It’s so fun to have new outfits for a trip.

Nice choices! I actually have not heard about WHBM (except on this thread). On a lark, I checked for store locations and found one store 20 miles south of me, another 20 miles north.

@Hoggirl really cute stuff! I like WHBM for exactly the reasons you said. You can get lots to mix and match. And I think the sales associates do a good job of helping when you need them to.

You are going to look great on your trip. Very stylish!

Hoggirl - such cool selections! I love how you have fun tops to mix with the black cropped bottoms. And those pinkish rutched jeans are adorable! The coated denim jacket has the curved line that I always look for.

I love WHBM - agree deb922 they really work with you to come up with combos and even suggest things that are beyond the comfort zone - but look lovely!

Thanks, all! WHBM is my favorite store. They are owned by Chico’s. Soma is in their group as well.

Fortunately, I had a couple of coupons they let me stack. It was honestly hard not to buy a bit more. I think some of that is just pent-up demand on my part for not having been shopping in so long. I did order some things online during the pandemic, but it’s been a long time since I had a retail therapy day like that.

The only top I was on the fence about was the halter - it’s a bit sexier than some things I wear. It may or may not make the actual CA trip, but it will be cute for wearing here in Florida on date night with my hubby. It’s obviously fine with a jacket over it, regardless.

I mostly need to decide if I want to take that black coated jacket or the linen Tommy Bahama one I have. Both are basically a jean jacket design. The linen one isn’t lined. I could, of course, order the moto one @conmama suggested.

Hoggirl - I’d vote to go with the sexy top!!!

Why not because ng the sexy top—just in case? :hugs:

I think the halter top is quite pretty. But… I’d be on the fence too if it required packing an extra bra for just that use. (That’s just me, a bit lazy and with a tendency to be short on space because we fly with carry-on luggage only.)

You did great!! I love your choices! WHBM is one of my favs too.

It’s sold out! I love those cutaway blazers.

conmama - the exact style (in multiple sizes) is available in blush (if you like that color…)

That is so cute! I may try to look for something in the cutaway style a little less $$. Definitely for fall. I did order these 3 summer things to try out. I’ve never worn a kimono, not sure if it’s my thing, but I’m going to see. This is a very “youthful” online store, although from time to time they have things I think I can pull off. I don’t know if I’ll keep any of it.

I have several kimonos that I like to wear in the summer with white cropped jeans and very light blue cropped jeans.

I’d like to style with white skinnies and white shirts. I like to wear a platform with them. I’m looking forward to seeing how it looks.

I have some “kimono style” “dusters” from Anne Namba that I wear to dress up some outfits. Often I pair with dressy pants and solid tops.

I don’t have the shorter jackets. They do look fun though. I guess I already have a lot of other short jackets.

I’m also going to style with skinnies, but I want to style with white shorts, too! I hope I like it. I usually don’t wear “flowy” types of clothing.

You folks always seem to have such good ideas … any suggestions for what to pair with this? Embroidered linen top, very billowy. There is no drawstring or tie at the waist and it does not really look so shapely when I wear it as it does in this picture. Maybe because I tried to wear it with a skirt which caused the billow to billow more.

Model is just wearing jeans, which I could do but looking for other ideas.

What about slinky black dress slacks? It think it would be a cute combo.

How about pairing that top with embroidered pants such as:

Another idea is to pair the top with these white eyelet pants:
