Dressing Young (Part 2)

I’m going to try those neutrals you suggested and see. Not sure about the spice color with the gold. I used to wear these pants with a satin champagne blazer. Style too out of date and the color just blended with my skin tone too much anyway.

How about wearing a red cami/tank with the black blazer and pants to have some contrast?

I have two of these. One in the no longer available maroon and one in light gray. Love them. Easy for travel. Depending on wheather you can wear a turtle neck…or nothing at all. Looks great with bare legs and sandals or leggings and boots.

I just wore the grey one to a 50th grade school reunion. With a thin long sleeve black top and black leggings with lace up black booties. Got so many compliments.

Washes well. Keeps its shape.

I LOVE this dress! I don’t do collars a lot (weird, I know) but this pic - though an awkward shot - really sums up how I like to dress!

I have a sleeveless black travel dress that I like. (Didn’t bring it on recent Europe trip but could have.). It looks nice alone but can be worn as a jumper with short sleeved or long sleeved shirt. Or shirt over to make it like a skirt. It’s only recently that I realized for winter travels I could wear it over tights or leggings.

What color did you get?? The power of suggestion!!

Disregard. I goofed.

@conmama, I’m wondering if the black column of black near your face is too much black? As we get older, I think black isn’t as flattering. Of course it doesn’t stop me of trying to wear it.

I saw this
Maeve Mock-Neck Ruched Shine Tank | Anthropologie?

I’m no fashionista but I wonder if something ver simple would work with this pants. Maybe just a sweater. Maroon maybe? Idk

I was thinking of this

Let the pants be the star and do something very simple on top

Only comes in black. Where was the dress you referenced from?

My bad - I thought you posted the Title Nine dress.

We could be dressing twins on some days!

Time to pull my “combat” boots out of the closet. Fall is definitely here!

These babies.

Not too awfully sparkly.

Too yellow? Too casual?

I like this type of dress for travel. I did read in one of the reviews that the zipper on the pockets set off detector in a European airport.

Will you be wearing the blazer buttoned and is the belt to be on the outside? How low is the neckline? If not too low may something lacy would work. It wouldn’t be a solid black and the lace pattern would echo the lace look of the pants.

It’s an open front and has a cutaway look to it. Yes, perhaps a lace black cami might work.

It might fight with the belt, but thanks!

I do know a put black and aging. Hmm, maybe I should try a color just to see.

Conmama- I like all black, actually - I think it’s elegant, especially if you have a patterned pant. Love the description of your gold-timed outfit!
