My daughter is considering Drew University in NJ. Princeton Review marks it highly, but most people have never heard of it. Is anyone familiar with their theatre/writing department? Thanks.

Have you asked this at the Drama Majors Sub-forum? It’s under the College Majors Forum. Click on “Discussion Home” in the upper-left of this screen and scroll down to find it. Here’s a link: [Theater/Drama Majors - College Confidential](Theater/Drama Majors - College Confidential Forums) There also is a separate forum for Musical Theater majors. The parents there are really helpful.

I have heard theater is their strongest department. Nice campus in a very affluent town; 45 minutes from NY by train

S has just finished his Junior year. It is a good school, with excellent opportunities including internships in NYC. Depending upon grades, they offer good merit scholarships. The one area that I would suggest is not a strength is musical theatre. They do a musical about every other year. If this is important, I suggest you think twice.
