Drexel Admissions Class of 2022

@Supremo Well I guess you learn something new each day! Check back on this thread and you will find your answer!

One thing I just noticed - Drexelā€™s portal doesnā€™t update the ā€œStatus Updateā€ date very well. My Dā€™s currently says ā€œAn update to your application was last posted December 14, 2017.ā€, however there have been numerous update since then. Today she was checking it out and realized sheā€™d been accepted to the honors program, which is definitely a new update in the past week!

moral of the story, check the portal every now and then and go into the ā€œView Updateā€ section!

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone was accepted or knows the chances of being admitted to the architecture major. I applied and was deferred to regular decision.

I have a 1400 SAT, 3.8 unweighted GPA, 9 AP classes, multiple honors societies and many extracurriculars but not a super strong portfolio.

I am wondering for those who were deferred back in November if you have yet received any kind of a decision? My son was told he will know by April 1. It is his number one choice so heā€™s sitting here holding his breath in Southern California. He applied as a biology major because he wants to go into ophthalmology.

D was deferred and has heard nothing.

Does anyone know when the pennoni honors decisions come out

@crockmom Same with my son and he is waiting on fainted breath here in Southern California where we live. He applied at the end of October as a biology major.

My son was a competitive gymnast for 11 years sadly deciding this year as his final year to close that chapter of his life. But while I was googling last night, since my son who applied in October was deferred and is holding his breath that he will receive an admissions letter very soon from Drexel University, I seemed to find something strangely that mentioned Drexel and gymnastics. We visited the campus in June. There was no mention of any gymnastics team or even a club. Does anybody know any information about this?

Are any of you who were deferred and waiting as my son was, from California?

@lmmq64 Actually, on their site when you check your status it says by April 1. We are waiting holding our breath for my son to find out here in Southern California.

It looks like last year they released on the 23rd. So it seems we have a long wait. I wonder why they do it so much later than the other schools? My sonā€™s heart may be set on a different school, that has accepted him, by thenā€¦

The 23rd of March is only one week away ā€¦ not such a long wait, right? I know it can seem that way, as my daughter is also waiting to hear from them. Wishing your son the best!

I believe I saw on the CSS profile page, notifications on Thursday 3/22.

@Spacedude35 Really? My son here in CA was deferred in October and he is sitting here holding his breath pretty much to find out!

Ok so from what Iā€™m reading on here, notifications should be coming out the 23rd which is tomorrow.

Tomorrow. Tomorrow. We find out, tomorrow
Weā€™re only a day away!

Tomorrow is the 22nd and not the 23rd, just saying. I just checked Drexelā€™s website and they are closed today due to the snow. Iā€™m not sure if admissions office is open and if/how this impacts them releasing any decisions this week??

@LandHMom Ugh thx! I guess that means all the places that I was writing personal checks yesterday I guess I was writing the wrong date LOL. Because I kept thinking yesterday was the 21st. Thank you for the correction. Wish I knew how to delete my comment on here. And that would be pretty bad if because of the storm it changes the day the notifications came out. However according to the website it says by April 1 so we kind of assumed we wouldnā€™t hear until March 31 anyway .

Does anyone know the percentage of students that are accepted once they were deferred in December? Nothing noted on the portal which makes me wonder if itā€™s a done deal:(

Where does it note updates on the CSS profile??

Iā€™m about two hours West and the snow is pretty bad. Iā€™m guessing this could delay the release of the decisions.
