Drexel EA 2024

I got lots of money in scholarships and grants which make it possible to go there now. Still 30k a year though. I also did not get my welcome package yet. anyone else?

Live in NY, still waiting for welcome package via postal mail.

Correction after 30 minutes:
Just received the package, with the acceptance letter, without financial aid info.

You can, but don’t have to decide on the BS/MS Program until the end of the Sophomore year. It’s a good idea, though, to start thinking about it by the end of the Freshman year to start guiding the curriculum in that direction.
Honors is a good call for anyone if an option. You end up having half friends in Engineering and half in Honors. The dorms are typically right there a building or two away from one another.

The only thing about the BS/MS Program is that it’s AGGRESSIVE; apparently. Not necessarily a bad thing, but a consideration.

Involves the same three 6-month co-ops; which is GREAT.

Financial aid is in the student online portal.

Got my package today. I’m assuming they don’t put financial info in it so they don’t have to personalize each packet.

Anyone still waiting for Drexel EA decision? My son said he checked the portal and the result isn’t available yet for him. Help
 Thanks.

My son had trouble navigating the portal because it’s not just one click and you’re in. Once you get into your portal, you have to scroll down to the applications tab and click on the EA application. Then you come to yet another window that says your application was submitted with a link to open it!

@Seafirst try calling. All decisions should be out by now. Maybe he’s looking at the wrong section of the portal. There’s 2 versions, one where it shows you your application, and one if you’ve been logged in for too long and it won’t show any info until you log out and in again. You should go ahead and call though.

@phillipians that shouldn’t be the case. Unless he’s submitted multiple applications to Drexel, it should just open up into the main application page once he logs in. Either way, don’t worry about it, its not that big a deal if he can still get into his portal.

Deferred a couple of weeks ago. Drexel is one of my top schools and someone told me their EA acceptance rate is 94%. I hope to join you guys but I have lost hope, congrats to everyone!

DS 20 accepted in EA 2024 and got financial aid.
Portal shows the financial aid for a year only. Does that mean that DS has to apply for financial aid next year? Does anyone has insight regarding the chances of getting financial aid in Sophomore year? Is it more than, less than or equal to Freshman year?

@Polaris1820 Depends on the aid. The Drexel Grant is renewable for up to 12 non-co-op quarters. You need to submit the FAFSA every year he’s in college in order to qualify for Federal Pell Grants and loans. All merit aid is renewable for 12 non-co-op quarters as long as he maintains a 2.75 GPA.

Hey, I am trying to decide between Rutgers School of Economics and Drexel’s School of Economics. Wondering if anyone has any personal insight?

I have a student at Rutgers now. She is not econ, but her roommate is. Accepted to places like Duke, Fordham, Drexel. She’s smart. Within Rutgers it is not as prestigious as “the business school” which gets lots of creds, but it is considered a tough and respected major. I don’t know if you are in-state. If you are, Rutgers, is the bigger bang for the buck for sure and opportunities are there after graduation. Also, if you are in state, I can tell you that some in-staters feel sometimes less excited about staying in NJ. That said, when they get there they ALL love it. High retention, happy kids, school spirit. My kid is very happy. Full disclosure: Most kids do not like the bus
but they get used to it. Econ is mostly on College Ave campus and that is everyone’s favorite.

admitted
major: business

merit $22k/yr

Thankyou so much!
