Ive been accepted to Drexel's Economics Department and I was wondering if it was any good. I have other colleges I can go to for Economics such as UMass Amherst. Any thoughts on Drexel's prestige in the area and which is better??

Hey there,

CONGRATULATIONS! Drexel has a nationally ranked economics program that will do everything necessary to set you up for success. The Department of Economics and International Business offers the following degree programs BS in Economics , BS in Business Administration ( Economics and International Business concentrations) and PhD in Economics. I am sure that no matter what your final decision you will succeed but just so you make an educated decision I will send you the websites for both Drexel’s and UMass Amherst’s economics departments. But remember one thing: Dragons can eat Minutemen any day of the week. :)

Thank you so much! Huge help! :)

Hey DreXpert, I went on a visit this past friday! I liked the campus and after I visit UMass this coming friday I’ll be making my final decision. During Drexel’s visit though, I must say I’m very interested in the co-op program. I also found out that Drexel’s economics is superb ( 15th in the nation in macroeconomics and 31st in microeconomics!) I will let you know my final decision when I make one! Talk to you soon!

Sounds great!

I am on co-op right now and loving it! It is definitely going to help contribute to my future that I have this on my resume.

Best of luck,
The DreXpert
