<p>I just sent in my Application for the Drexel Summer Intership Program.</p>

<p>Current Sophmore
Science/math classes taken/currently taking:
- Ap Chem
- Honors Bio
- Honors Chem
- Honors Algebra 2
- Honors Math Analysis
- Weighted overall average = 99.56 ish
- Science weighted = 99 or 98 ish?</p>
<p>Extracurriculars listed:
- Choir
- Choir Council
- Varsity Swimming since freshman year
- Johnson and Johnson Technology application Program (u research a buisiness problem and present the solution at the end of the session)
- Took Sports injuries as an elective (covers the mechanisms, signs and symptoms, diagnoses, palpation, and rehabilitation of injuries)</p>
<p>Its an ok program, but unless you are really set on pursuing a biology related degree, there are tons of better opportunities. Look into programs at Columbia and Harvard for sophomore summer, then look into these types of options when you are set on biology.</p>
<p>Really? I still haven’t gotten a response- Fail. Oh well, I bet they just accepted only a few kids because of lack of funding. I’m kind of disappointed though- considering this is the only summer program that Drexel runs for high schoolers, I’d expected that they would be more precise and organized with how they run the program.</p>
<p>Yeah, I agree, it is unorganized. What sucks was, I was waiting for the response from Drexel for such a long time that I was unable to apply for another internship b/c I didn’t want the dates to clash. Now, my goal to have a productive summer is ruined.</p>
<p>They may not have received your application. Did you get an email at all from drexel after you sent in your application? I received 3 emails total. One saying they’ve received my application, second one saying that they’re admission decision is taking so long due to numerous amount of applicants, and finally a rejection email.</p>
<p>I got accepted… I’m just not sure if I am going to attend because I got accepted to a summer college program as well. Is 3 weeks long enough to complete a sufficient project?</p>
<p>writergrl, are you talking about the engineering mentorship or the biotechnology internship? / Which program is this thread referring to?</p>
<p>I applied to the engineering one, was offered an interview, but didn’t end up doing it because I had another program that I had gotten into and was going to get paid for. </p>
<p>As for the biotechnology one, I was going to apply for that one but the dates didn’t work out for me… but I guess that was for the better because nobody has gotten in.</p>
