Drexel Honors Housing

Ok. So I am an international student and I got into Drexel with a near full tuition aid and was also admitted into the honors program at Pennoni Honors college. The living costs are still a lot, considering my financial status. I am considering to live with a cousin off campus, to cut living costs into half.
Today, I read up on the Honors program page, that Honors students live together in a separate hall and interact to develop cultural understanding. Does this mean that if I am a honors student, it is compulsory to live on campus? Or can I live with my cousin off campus?
I also got into the S.T.A.R. program and it states that I will have to stay in summer at Campus Housing and will get a stipend at the end. So does Drexel provide for my stay during the summer? And if not can I still be a part of the program, living off campus with my cousin?

These are a lot of very specific questions that you should email Drexel about.

These are a lot of questions, and I will do my best to answer them adequately  I’m a current Drexel sophomore and honors student, and I participated in the STAR program last summer.
Drexel has a 2 year housing agreement with all students; you must live on campus, in Drexel housing, for your first 2 years, unless you have an exemption (commuter, medical issue, etc.). I’m not too sure about financial concerns as being eligible for exemption, but my gut says it would be a no (unfortunately). Freshmen must live in the freshmen residence halls, they cannot live in the on-campus apartments like the upperclassmen.
As an honors student, you have the option to live in the Honors Living Learning Community in Millennium Hall, the newest (and sadly, most expensive, residence hall). You are NOT required to live there; I chose that option in my freshman year so that I could live around other honors students, and because I really liked the building, with its great views, and definitely being nicer than the other residence halls. If you would like to save money, I’ve heard Towers and Kelly are pretty nice to live in, and they are cheaper. Suite style residence halls (Van R, Race Street) are also more expensive than the traditional ones, but less expensive than Millennium.
As a STAR scholar, you will be provided free housing for the summer in Millennium. I even got to stay in my freshman year room, because the higher floors (12-17) were both honors housing, and summer housing for the STAR scholars. You can choose to live with your cousin for the summer and still participate in the program; Drexel won’t care or anything, your side of the room is just going to be reserved for you, but remain empty.
I hope that answers your questions!
