Drexel Medical School

I got my Lehigh med program acceptance letter today (as expected lol, but still exciting)

also got into lehigh's med program! so now my options are villanova and lehigh, and just waiting to hear from drexel.

amirali, usc notified u about their med program? i interviewed march 2nd and havnt heard back since

I got into Drexel Med from Drexel undergrad today! I didn't get the letter yet, but my friend told me to call Drexel undergrad and ask. The lady said I was accepted. I should receive my letter in the mail shortly as they mailed them out like yesterday I think. Now just waiting for UMDNJ and Albany...

i got my lehigh drexel acceptance too! yay. and im waiting for umdnj as well. do you guys know where I can find out what med program is better or easier. or where you can find out information about their curriculum and whether the med school is pass/ fail or grades?

My daughter called the Drexel Undergrad today. She was told that they have the decision from the Medical school, however they will not reveal over the phone. Could it be that they tell only acceptances? I saw in this board that a couple of people called the undergrad school and they were told that they got in. She only applied thru Drexel undergrad for this program.

Preddy,
I had the exact same experience today. The receptionist did not tell me that I got in and said that she did not reveal acceptances over the phone. I too was worried that I did not get in. Then she asked me if I wanted to talk to a "counselor." I forget her name, but just ask the receptionist tomorrow about the counselor. The counselor then called me back and informed me that I was accepted. So don't worry yet; try again tomorrow and ask the counselor. I have a phone number from her, but am unsure as to whether it is her direct line or not. Actually, I have two phone numbers. The number that she (the counselor) told me to call if I had any further questions is (215)-895-2391. The second number is the number that she called me from, which is (215)-895-2000. I hope this helps!

yo amir, u iranian? i think i met u at the IIt interview, i forgot to take down ur contact info, my sn is rishugupta , I want to ask u some stuff about usc

yah, im iranian. i dont know who you are from IIT. I remember a guy from alaska, that guy who said he had the hook ups from IIT and all the girls who were with me. remind me who you were. ANy ways, i found out about USC through my dad. I havent gotten the letter yet.

ya man im the guy with the hooks up, so u not thinking at all for usc?

screw USC, USC sucks man, Believe me. Its just a program that traps students into a crappy med school just because of a few incentives: no MCAT, and gauranteed admission. Your gonna come out of the program regretting you went in because youll be in debt like 200 grand. SO did u gt into IIT??? My admission councelor called me last night and said im in.

haha there is a mcat requirement, better than psu in terms of money b/c usc is giving me some money plus extra scholarships b/c my bro went there, usc medical school has vastly improved especially with the implementation of the program; lot of research giong on there and la county hospital is liek the 2nd or 3rd biggest hospital around and the experience u get there is amazing; in terms of usnews ranking its up there aroudn 30ish, better than most of the ba/md programs excluding nwu, case, rice, and ucsd; plus i would rather go to usc undergrad on top of all those schools i just mentioned b/c its proly the most fun along with penn state and miami; only downside is it is 8 years but i don't mind being there for 8 years, plus going to a med school in cali is a huge commodity; anyways difference in opinions man so give me ur spot; ya i got into iit, i already knew and the person who called me expected me to be all happy

hey AmiraliR, remember me? im that kid from fullerton that knew some wrestling peeps. neways, i got into iit also, but im prob not gonna go. i havent gotten anyting from lehigh yet. btw, u still wanna go to miami? i think we hear on april 1st by e-mail. thatd be tight if we both got in.

yah, your they guy from Troy right? im still waiting on Miami. If i get in thats probably where ill go. Actually its either between that program and Union because in Union you get a BS and an MBA in the 4 years undergrad. Thats sweet. I got into Miami undergad thou. Something like a 28 grand scholarship. how about u?

ya i go to troy. i got the same scholarship to miami and if i get in then i might go. i don't know though, right now its between penn state and miami. maybe rice if the interview goes well, and maybe ucsd if i get an interview. i don't know though, its gonna be a tough choice either way. anyways i know we'll be happy wherever we go.

hey amir and rishu. i remember u guyz from iit. Maybe u dont remember me, but amir im the grl u were supposed to come with to the hotel remember but u ended up stayin. haha. congrats for gettin into iit. im prolly not go there either. did u get in newhere else?

i still havent gotten word from Drexel for the 4x4 Medical Scholars program w/ Muhlenberg College........ is this bad?

hey i have a question. I got into the lehigh/drexel, rpi/albany, and uconn med programs so far. are any of these really worth it over an ivy league or good undergrad? i'm in LOVE with duke and dartmouth.

when i visted these med places...there was really no comparison. the lifestyles were very different, and even the kids i met that are applying to these med programs were very different from what i'm used to. there was only one kid @ the albany interview who ventured to ask the med student about a social life @ the undergrad school.

I mean should that be a factor? just the type of students you're going to be around? not just in these med programs, but just in general as well?

not to mention the location of these places, while dartmouth is rural, hanover is not a bad place, but storrs, ct. schnectady, ny., and bethelham, pa aren't exactly the most stellar places to live. should that be a factor as well? or does the fact that you're guaranteed admission to med school override them all?

I got the acceptance letter today!!!!!

dk92487, don't worry. Muhlenberg program people don't find out until probably next week.

Got Acceptance letter from Drexel Medical today !!!!!!
