i agree about the US News rankings-- i think that it is one of the only ones that ranks colleges (princeton review does too but they have a different setup) so most ppl rely on it as being true-- its not necessarily true that a school that US news doesnt rank highly isnt a good school
my view of college is that -- i feel more than anything its what you make of it that is important -- you could go to the best school and not take advantage of anything or you could go to a less better school but do whatever you have in your power to make your experience worthwhile --its all up to u

I think Im going to drexel as well

My son going to villanova for this 7 year bs/md program. who else going? please let us know

I am attending villanova's bs/md in the fall. Check your private message.

Hi,
I was waitlisted for the Villanova/Drexel program and I just found out that I was accepted. I am trying to decided between Villanova/Drexel and Cornell(where I was originally planning on attending before hearing from the Villanova/Drexel program). Any advice or suggestions?

Drexel is actually ranked 87, not 100. It is a very friendly campus and emphasizes a lot of community volunteer work. The professors in all medical schools would rather be at their affiliate hospital working, so some are better teachers than others. Whether you attend a high ranking school or a mid-ranking school, the curriculum is basically the same. For residency programs, it will really depend on how you do on your exams. There is a diverse group of students and the opportunity to work in a great inner-city hospital.

People who are accepted to Drexel programs, please put your Stats.

Thanks

how many people out of how many applicants are accepted for each Drexel program?

about 100 are accepted overall for all drexel programs, including the smaller ones along with lehigh/drexel drexel/drexel and villanova/drexel

i got accepted into villanova/drexel, so i can put some stats up

I know this thread is kind of no longer active haha but, in case someone drops by: I was researching Drexel Uni, and I want to go to medical school, some of you said that they have a programme which you do medical school as an undergrad during 7 years or something like that, can someone explain to me what is this programme, how it works ect. What I am really curious is if I enroll at Drexel which major should I choose? What is the name of this combined major is what I mean…
Also, does this mean I don’t have to do the MCAT afterall?
Thanks!

Hi,

My D is planing to apply Drexel 7 years med program. She is senior in high school. Do you have to send separate applications to drexel/drexel, Vilanova/drexel, leihigh/drexel or one common application.

You better get CRACKING…most of the paperwork due in 6 to 7 weeks!

You maximize your chances if you apply to all the schools because each school decides whether your app gets forwarded to the med school or not (so one school might while another doesn’t). For each undergrad you’re interested in having the option of attending, you need to send an app to that school, but the med school supplement is shared among the undergrads.

hey everyone,
I have my interview for Drexel/Drexel next week… what do I wear? do I need like a pantsuit/skirtsuit or just “business casual” and if so what is business casual for a girl??

Hello sarabeth95, I’m having my interview next week and was wondering how your interview went and what kind of attire was expected?
