I just don’t want to go to SUNY Purchase. It feels like a giant high school. Since I didn’t make NYU Drexel is my shot to not have to worry about transferring next year.

Holy ■■■■ its the end of the day and theres still nothing ■■■

this. is. endless.

I applied RD too

Can we all post our stats ?
My stats:
-Sat: 1890
-Gpa: 3.8~4
-Private french school - French Baccalaureat (no class ranking)
-The recommendatations my english teacher and my counselor wrote for me are nothing spectacular but for the evaluation thing they both ticked me excellent for almost everything.
-Got a great recommendation from my piano teacher at the Vietnam National Academy of Music (whos now the Vice-Director of the academy) - and yeah i’ve finished my 7-year classical music education at the academy (majoring in piano performance) (i also sent my report card at the academy, never had lower than 9/10 for piano performance)
-okay essay (i combined the commonapp essay with the major specific essay)
-okay resume (i mostly did performance and arragement for my school band)
-my portfolio is mostly acoustic covers of songs (i only used instrument to play everything) and 2 original (short) compositions - so yeah my main focus is arranging/re-arranging songs, and play everything by myself

So i applied for Music Industry - tech - accelerated program BS/MBA

SAT (super scored)
Math 490
Reading 480
Writing 680
I know they suck…
GPA 93 (unweighted)
In top 20% of graduating class of about 460 students, unsure how competitive but ~25% have 90+ average
assume that counselor and math teacher wrote well recommendation letters
essay is decent I think. not sure if it was okay or not
applied for accelerated program n accounting

SAT- 1920
GPA- 3.85 Unweighted
Three glowing letters of recommendation from my counselor, music teacher, and robotics mentor.
Essay was great- went through 7 drafts to get it perfect. Major specific and talked in depth about my aspirations and how I planned to achieve them as well as combining my passion for music to my business mind set.
Ranked 3rd in my class
Resume- Robotics, Marching band, Student government, Academic decathlon, choir, orchestra, track and field, yearbook, and technical theater (soundboard operator for three years, only student trusted to do so in school history). Specialize in live audio production.
Experience promoting local bands and have played bass in several myself
Recently wrote an arrangement of my favorite Green Day songs for my orchestra to play this spring

Deferred from EA1 Music Industry

@iheartbass42 what’s your personal signal chain besides the ■■■■ you use at school?

I’m waiting on Drexel because I really don’t want to go to NY unless I really have to. Intense city vibes. At least Drexel is more of a college town. I got deferred from EA1 and now it has to be today.

I’m wondering… will Drexel admissions office do an April’s fool…

I’m going to rage quit if they do

its noon… maybe they are having lunch…

Maybe they’re reading this and laughing at our angst

have you been refreshing the page all morning!?!

…maybe

no judging
me too…

I told all of my teachers this morning that I was going to be mentally absent today so I have the okay :P

hahahahaha

Pretty sure Drexel’s the only school who says decisions come out on April 1st… and they actually come out on April 1st (if they ever do???) >:P
