"Drexel University v/s SCAD for Fashion design"

Hi, I am from India

I have received acceptance letters from the following colleges in their Fashion Design programs:
1. Drexel for Masters/Graduate (in Philly)
2- SCAD for Masters (Savannah)

I am an international student(Indian). I want to start my career in US.I am inclined towards choosing SCAD as the course is very strong and SCAD has a lot of branches too.

I would like some more help before coming to a decision.

College Confidential is focused on undergraduate education, so you may not get any responses on a masters degree program.

I’m not sure why SCAD’s branches are important to you, since you’ll be attending school in Savannah.

Hi @mommaJ… I saw a lost of posts for graduation on this site which made me post too for some suggestions. SCAD’s branches are important because when I met a SCAD professor in India, he told me that I have opportunities of attending courses in other branches too which is good.

Is cost a concern? If so, choose the cheapest option.
Email each school about internships - not just whether you can have them, (of course you do), but concretely this year among all students, how many applied for internships and how many got them, and where, paid or unpaid?
As an international student, odds aren’t very high that you’ll be hired in the US after your Master unless you find a niche. You’ll have to have CPT (internships) but leave time for an OPT- total time, all combined, all internships and OPT job, can’t be over 12 months.
The most important and prestigious branch is Savannah. If another branch allows you to attend while you do an internship (presumably, in NY or LA or another big city) then you should make sure you spend a majority of your time in Savannah and graduate from that branch.
