Drexel vs Usciences vs NYU

My parents said they would pay $120,000 total over the course of my studies (including med school).

That being said which college makes the most sense for someone set on pre-medicine.

Drexel (4 years, 1 co-op)- 120,000
Although I could use the co-op to pay part of that if need be.

Usciences- 105,000 (4 years as a Pharmacology major)

NYU-150,000 (4 years as a Neural Science major)

This is my current order of preference, although I liked NYU the most I was worried about supposed grade deflation and additional cost. My peers tell me NYU is a no brainer, but I feel as though Drexel and Usci are better options for pre-med. Decision day is coming fast and I just can’t stop going back and forth. Input?

Bump. Decision day approaches and I’m still equally torn between NYU and Usci.

Have you looked at the cost of medical school and how long it takes to pay off the debt? Do you have any less expensive options?

@ucbalumnus unfortunately my state school didn’t give me anything, so Usci is my cheapest option.

Not sure about the difficulty of each school but the school with the least grade deflation is the ‘best’ pre-med all other factors controlled. I think drexel could be better than usciences because they’ll have a lot more variety of classes and they have an early assurance program with their own medical school if you do well. If NYU has grade deflation and costs more it doesn’t look too attractive (assuming you stick with pre-med). However, I wouldn’t make a decision based solely off ‘best pre-med’ because you could change your mind in which case NYU would be the best and worth the extra cost.
