Am I allowed to bring along some water or energydrink?
I know I should be allowed to drink during the 10min. break but I would really like 2 get a sip during the test as well..
thanks!

During my test, kids were drinking water. Same with the SAT.

Technically you are not allowed to. From the ACT web site
ACT FAQ : What should I take to the test center?

Do not bring any of the following:

* food or drink (including water)
[/quote]

In practice it probably depends how strict they are at you test site.

ok... how are you guys handling it?

As a Mom I would suggest taking a drink with you and asking the proctor then following whatever he/she says.

Honestly you should drink about 16-20 ounces of water in the morning. I do it every morning and I feel great no matter how low on food I go. Just think about it, your body goes 8-16 hours(depending on when you sleep and when you drank before you went to bed) without water, it's dying of thirst in the morning, you just don't realize it.

i always get a big glass of milk when i wake up and some grape juice before i left.. i dunno, but that was always good for me..... of course, if you just did water and water instead of milk and grape juice, that'd work too (if not a little better... i just liked having something with taste in the morning)

i wouldn't... it's a long test, if you catch my drift

Haha. But you get breaks, so it's not like you can't....

lol on the SAT i drank a whole can of arizona tea and had to go so bad that i left during one of the sections (stupid me) -_-
the proctor made me leave 30 questions blank...ouch!

If you look at your admission ticket, it says:

"Snacks and beverages (including water) cannot be opened in the test room, and may be consumed only outside the testing room and only during the break."

So, swimcatsmom is correct, that the website says not to bring food or drinks (including water), but the admissions ticket says something that is a bit different.

as long as you don't consume them while you're taking the test [so you consume them outside the room during your breaks], then you'll be fine

We can bring our water, we just have to leave it in the back of the room.
