Drinking In College

The chocolate wine is really good. But unfortunately, it’s also hard to find (atleast the brand I like).

Yuengling is one hell of a beer. If it were cheaper beers I would order my favorites as:

 1. Diesel
 2. Coors ORIGINAL
 3. Miller Lite
 4. Bud Lite
 5. Coors Lite
 6. PBR
 7. Keystone(Very cold) My #1 Favorite 'rut Beer
 8. Natty Light
 9. Milwaukee’s Best

Please tell me that’s just a list of your favorite cheap beers and not favorite beers.

The horse was a jerk?

He specified that it was a cheap beer list. I mostly agree except I’ve never heard of Diesel and Milwaukee’s Best doesn’t belong on any list that has the word “favorite” on it. Also PBR is cool because the bottles have poker symbols on the caps and it makes for some fun drinking games.

edit: And yes, horses can be jerks. I dated an equestrian rider for a while and from her description of most of the horses she had to ride most of them exist to do two things: eat and intentionally annoy you in any way possible.

PBR’s pretty fine.

I had a great beer the other day, Dundee Honey Brown. Not too strong, good taste. Samuel Adams and Guinness are also favorites of mine.

Gotta love being able to drink in Canada :P

I guess I’m the only non-beer person here. :frowning:
There’s only been one type of beer I’ve ever liked. It was some plum beer I tried in Jamaica. I haven’t been able to find it since.

I also had some sort of Bourbon coffee/cream/something mixed drink a long time ago during Mardis Gras which was absolutely delicious – but as usual, I can’t remember what it was called. I could have sworn I wrote it down…

I also love Vodka…but I can’t drink it anymore. Stomach ulcer + Vodka = excruciating pain.

And obviously, I love my wine and wine coolers. I usually stick to dessert wines though.

chuy, Diesel is also known as Budweiser and I’m pretty sure you know what it is.

Oh, Dundee Honey Brown is really good. You should try their variety pack as well. I also recommend Leinenkugel Honey Weiss if you like Honey Brown. Honey Weiss is pretty much the more expensive, better tasting Honey Brown. Berry Weiss mixed with Honey Weiss is very delicious as well and it’s called Honey Bear if I remember correctly. Summer Shandy tastes pretty good as well and has a lemonade flavor kind of.

I cannot wait till Sam Adam’s Oktoberfest comes out! I buy so many cases of them since it’s so freaking good but unfortunately seasonal :frowning:

Plattsburgh, you should look at w00t Wines since they usually have great deals on Rieslings and Ports. That is if your twenty one years old ;)

Drinking in college is entirely overrated. Dont listen to Asher Roth. That crap gets old everyday.

I was like you in high school, only my high school didnt have parties (at least I didnt know about them). Tried alcohol for the first time when I had 80 proof Vodka. actually pretty good. but drinking everyday is just ■■■■■■■■. you dont have to drink to make friends at all, and the people who do drink everyday are probably addicted to it. (im probably going all off the question lol) but just be who you are and you’ll be ok

Oh, durr. I didn’t even notice that Bud wasn’t on your list. To be honest bud/miller/coors are all pretty close to the same in my book. That is to say, they’re in the category of “for a few cents more I can buy a yuengling.”

Sam Adams makes great beers. Their summer beer is amazing, and their blackberry witbier is great whether you like beer or not. To be honest I’m not a huge fan of their boston lager, but that’s just me.

There’s one type of beer that every beer lover owes it to themselves to try at some point, and that is Dogfishhead 120 IPA. I can’t even describe what it tastes like (not a traditional IPA at all, and not bitter), but it’s worth every penny of the $10/bottle. It’s also something like 20% alcohol so one bottle will make you feel real good.

As soon as I graduate I’m going to take up brewing myself. It’s really not that expensive, and I think it’ll be fun. I just don’t have room in my apartment right now.

"The horse was a jerk? "

Yes, Boone was a jerk. He would be in the cross ties getting groomed or tacked up, and he would purposefully try and look around to see where you were and stomp on your feet, or he’d try and body slam you against the wall. He was generally well behaved under saddle and was a great school horse for kids if we got someone to help them tack up, but when he snorts you know to get the kid off immediately because in a moment he’ll be flying through the air. Really, jerk is the best word for him. But he was awesome anyway.

Yeah Dogfishhead is pretty good. I drink Pale Ales but I’m not a big fan of it. I prefer lagers the most.

I think I would probably brew my own beer also while starting my own wine cellar. I hope to have a nice bar in the future with a pool table. Smoke some stogies, drink some quality liquor, and shoot some pool. Can’t get any better than that.

Jim that’s my dream. Have actual taps, beer glasses (those fancy nucleated ones), the pool table, everything.

That would be really sweet have actual taps and all. It would be better if you get a very nice view from that very room also. Like a view of the ocean, mountains, etc. sigh

stares dreamily out pretend window overlooking the Rockies
