drinking on campus

I am considering Dartmouth ED and I was wondering, as a non-drinker, how much there is to do on campus that doesn't involve alcohol. Will I feel isolated and bored out of my mind?

no one drinks at dartmouth

i could barely type that with a straight face

i'm a non-drinker too. Will I be ostracized?

What percentage of students are drinkers at Dartmouth?

There is PLENTY of stuff to do if you don't drink. Honestly, with all your classes you will find that there is TOO much to do -- you just don't have the time to do everything available.

One of my roommates this year is a non-drinker, but she still likes to go out to the frats for the dance parties and to meet people. You can even play water pong (the official sport of Dartmouth) at most frats.

Here are some of the non-alcoholic activities I do: I rent dvds (free) at the library, go to improv and a capella performances, see theater, dance, and musical performances at the Hop, go out to dinner with friends, attend club meeting and events, see lectures (Francis ***uyama came yesterday!), go to sporting events, etc.

I'm a non-drinker, but most of my friends drink so I go to the frats with them and actually have a lot of fun. You'll be offered beer, but if you don't want any people don't care. If you don't want to be in a drinking environment, that's fine too, because there are plenty of things to do if you don't want to be at a frat. Some even host non-alcoholic events, like Phi Tau's termly Milque and Cookies party where there are thousands of free, fresh-baked cookies and their special "milque" (which is non-alcoholic, but definitely not regular milk). I haven't had anything alcoholic to drink yet and don't plan to, but I love Dartmouth sooo much and feel like it doesn't matter at all.
