Drinking/Party Scene

I am currently a senior who is very interested in going to Stonehill (top of my list). I was just wondering about the drinking scene because i am not a drinker and do not intend to become one. Does pretty much everyone drink or is it just part of the student body that drinks? are there any activities on campus for students who don't really drink? will i fit in? thanks.

bump bump bump in the road…

My d is currently a freshman at Stonehill. She is also a non drinker and was concerned about the party scene. She is in wellness housing and has made friends with other non drinkers and become involved with activities. She seems very happy there. She also has friends in other dorms beside the wellness dorm. I think she would have been fine even if she did not select the wellness dorm, but she likes the wellness dorm because its musch nicer and cleaner. I was very concerned about the drinking issue when she went away to college, but she is doing great, found her friends, and is handling it better than I ever expected. I wouldn’t worry if I were you.

that’s comforting to hear thanks!..also i will be going for an interview next week…any suggestions anyone?

My d went for an interview last week, went pretty well. It lasted about 20 -25 minutes.
D said it was pretty casual, no really hard questions. Went more like a conversation she felt. Good luck, and be yourself!

Thanks…I think my interview went very well…good luck to your D in the college process!

Hi,
I’m a current freshman at Stonehill. A large part of the students here definitely drink but you will have NO problem finding people who don’t… I don’t, and I have found plenty of friends that know how to have fun sober. My room mate does drink, though, and we still get along great- so even if you don’t want to drink, you can still make friends with people who do. There is no pressure to drink- it’s just a matter or whether or not you choose to join in.

Thanks! Glad to hear stonehiller, glad to hear! Hope all is going well as a freshman!
