Drinking soft drinks before the test

Advisable or not advisable?

Definitely not advisable, unless you want to be crashing from the sugar high within 30 minutes to an hour after starting the test.

Interesting, it helps my brain stay focused in the morning. I wonder if it's capable of keeping the engine running for nearly 3+ hours.

^lol..sure. Go for it then. hahahahahahahaha

you are crazy
stay away from sugar unless its fruit sugar

calm down guys, maybe too much sugar for you shiomi?

but astrophysics, i wouldn't recommend it. just eat a solid breakfast, maybe one of those 5 or 6-hour energy shots would do the trick for you. i wouldn't experiment on test day though, try it out prior to november 1st.

It's best to stay away from any energy pill, drink, or soda. Just get a good rest the few nights before and the night of the test, and eat a good breakfast (toast, eggs, waffles, etc). And bring a healthy snack that we keep you form getting too hungry, and some sort of drink too (I bring Gatorade).

not a good idea man

I eat sugar before and during the test so my blood sugar stays high...this is because I have naturally low blood sugar that makes it hard for me to concentrate

Just eat a big breakfast and bring something to drink at the test. It's not rocket science.

the problem with these soft drinks are more than just "energizers" they also are powerful diuretics and laxatives, as well as flatulence prodicing.
You don't want to be distracted with these side effects during the most critical time in your exam! =_)

i recommend eating prunes before the test.

Lots and lots of laxatives and top it off with a tall cool prune smoothie, huh?

Go to the doctor and ask for a pill that cleanses your intestines.

I drank about half a can of Mountain Dew energy drink during the first break thinking it would sustain me for the test, rationing it out over the remainder. Before that I was really alert and focused but with the SAT it' s amazing how much you notice its effects. I felt way jittery and unfocused... I really wanted to get out of there!

Drink half a cup of milk (not too much :P). Bring water. You're set.

Not advisable.

Not only can it give you a sugar high and an ensuing crash, but it will probably make you need to pee sometime in the middle of the test.

SO what ,a bottle of coke before the test is detrimental to your result ?
