Drinking

I’m not a heavy drinker, but there’s nothing like a Gin and Tonic on a hot day.

/pretending to know something about drinks

I don’t drink. I’ve had a glass of wine with dinner while in Belgium, sitting with my parents and grandparents, and had champagne for New Years or in ice cream if they’re drinking some, but I don’t “drink.” I suppose I don’t always tell them that I have a glass of champagne for New Years though. . . . I have that in my solarium.

Now my sister, she likes to start the day with tequila.

I have always wanted to try that…but I have no idea why…I think the name just intrigues me.

^Lol, me too. Which is why I chose that particular drink.
Apparently the Tonic is real tonic (unlike in say ‘Scotch on the rocks’). Not sure how that would taste.

I rarely drink anything aside from water, cranberry juice, and orange juice.

I’ve had some with my parents, but I’ve never felt the need to drink elsewhere. I’m kind of afraid of doing something I’d regret, and alcohol has a lot of health problems too. That’s why I prefer marijuana, its safer and more fun.

Diverging topic marker ^

Typical HSL discussions vvv

My parents would do that too! It’s so odd, “here, have this beer…but ah! you should only drink with family” and then my brothers getting boonsfarm and telling me it’s just like koolaid. Nonsense that they’d let me get wasted but only around them getting wasted.

But I drink out with friends every now and then, not so much because I realize my friends are light-weights compared to my family and they’re just so much “omygod, we’re drinking! can you believe this! how cool!” and I’m more like “mmm, it’s okay” and then they just get plastered because they have no clue what their limit is, so I’m just stuck pulling them around.

I will have some as soon as I am 21 :b or visit Europe haha

^There is Mexico as well. I believe that their age requirement is three years less than America’s requirement.

Never tried alcohol. Can’t comprehend why people do, anyways.

Don’t you want to know?

^uh… no…

Derrida kinda ruins any curiosity.

Haha yeah it’s curiosity that got me to try alcohol.

When our italian classes go to italy for a class trip, pretty much everyone starts drinking and getting wasted lol

I’ve never done it. Neither do my parents anymore. Well my mother has never drunk in her entire life. My dad stopped, because non-alcohol related health issues.

I only drink milk! Sometimes I get tired of it, but my parents don’t buy juice unless my sister is here, won’t make iced tea unless I beg them (and it effs up my circadian rhythm), and consider soda to be only for parties. Which is actually how I’ve come to feel about soda too. I was inviting people over once, and my mother bought soda, so, first I asked them if they were having a party, then I was like “Waaah, it’s two people, what am I going to do with all this?” Soda, man. It has HFCS.

Meh, the important thing is to not binge drink excessive amounts or drive (essentially do anything that could be injurious). However, my parents are fine with it in moderation, especially as in Oregon, once you turn 18, it’s legal for your parents to serve it to you at home.

I drink Soda, and I’ve tried wine maybe once when I was young enough to not remember. All I know is, when it’s offered, I don’t take it. I probably will now that we’re talking about it, and you smart people are such lenient drinkers…:D

In New Zealand where I live, the legal drinking age is 18. It used to be 19 but it got lowered quite some time ago (I believe), the age is the same in Australia as well.

Ever tried white wine. Choked myself. I’ll never drink alcohols again.
