Hi there: Son and I are flying into Bradley at 1 pm and hope to make an interview at Wesleyan at 3 pm. The next day we are shuttling between Wes and Yale for tours and info. sessions. Trying to schedule an interview at Yale but concerned about driving. Google says 40 minutes between Wes and Yale, 35 minutes between Bradley and Wes. Are these realistic? When are the worst rush hours? Any route recommendations to help? I was thinking of staying at a hotel between the two. Thanks in advance for any advice!

These are realistic but of course it depends at what time you're going. Assuming your flight is on time, you can definitely make Wes in two hours, even with picking up the rental car. If you're traveling from Wes to Yale, avoid the morning rush hour time, as you'll be going down 91.

Thanks - if we are driving at noon from Yale to Wes, on a Friday, how much time should we allow?

From Y to Wes at that time shouldn't be that bad. Bradley is my airport of choice whenever I travel to CT. For good car rental deals, go to the airline websites and check both car and air travel as a package. Sometimes the combo deals are great! Last time I was in New Haven (for 6 days), since I booked a package w/US Airlines, my car rental charges were $150 total! Insane!

From Yale to Wes at noon on Friday should take ~40 minutes, so allow a good hour and 10 minutes, 'cause you never know. You'll need to figure out where to leave the car at Wes, where the admissions office is, etc.

Your time schedule looks completely do-able. Bradley is pretty easy to navigate, and your whole route's just up and down 91.

I'm not sure what kind of traffic you're used to, but central CT is usually not bad. Even in rush hour traffic it probably wouldn't be more than an hour of drive time from Wes to Yale, so mid-afternoon should be considerably less; 40 min is what I would guess, too.
