Drivers' license appointment

Hi guys.

I was a moron and didn't know there was a six-months waiting period from the moment of receiving the instruction permit and the moment you can get your license. So I got the instruction permit and driving class four months ago and now am impatiently waiting another two months.

However, here is the question. Can I ask to schedule a driving appointment before my six months pass so that I can minimize the waiting period? I know some can wait months for driving appointments. I just don't want to make the same mistakes again :</p>

Thanks guys.

i dont know if you can or not. i think that you have to have all the paperwork done before you can schedule it. i remember that my parents wanted to wait to put me on their insurance until i had my appointment, but they had to do it before i got an appointment. but i dont know if that means that your six months has to be up before you can schedule one. i would call the dmv or look online.

Well... it depends on what state you live in.

All states have different driving laws, so just call your instruction permit teacher and ask him/her about it.

^Or go to your state's omv/dmv website.
