Driving lessons and car insurance correlation

Someone told me if you watch a safety video that is provided in driving lessons, you will pay lower car insurance than those who take lessons at places that do not offer such a video. Can someone (anyone) confirm this with proof/source? Or can anyone confirm that the opposite is true?

Driver’s Ed will lower your insurance cost as long as you have proof. which is kind of the point of Driver’s Ed.

For my insurance (Farmers) I watched a video and then took a test and got a discount.

Simply watching the video won’t make a big difference in prices. It depends on company, your coverage, and how much you have ensured w/ them.
