Drop a class?

My schedule for next year( Sophmore ) is
Algebra 2 H
Chem H
Aice General Paper (english)
AP Psychology
Aice Psychology
AP European History
Aice European History

my dillema is that AP Euro is taught by a teacher that helps make and grade the actual exam, so his class is virtually impossible to get an A in. let alone a B
So Would settling for a B or C in an AP be better than a A in World History H

Should i just go ask the teacher why so many people fail, because a few people with Cs in the class are 30x dumber than I am so it might just be a laziness thing

If you are not confident that you will not get an A or a B. I would reccomend dropping it.
And no getting an A in honors is obviously better then getting a C in AP

You can challenge yourself and try to get an A and feel accomplished, or you can get an A in “honors” without every having tried. And voila, you still have your perfect unweighted 4.00 that means SO MUCH…

I spoke to the teacher today, he told me that kids who get through the class become way better students and later APs that are reading or writing intensive become walks in the park.
The reason so many people do so bad is.

  1. He teaches it like a real college course
  2. He grades the AP Euro exams (his students excluded)
  3. They get lazy/ stop caring
although he has a 98% pass rate for the ap exam if that tells you anything about how good he is
I am going to keep the class because it will make later classes easier, prepare me for college, and it looks good and probably benefit me more than an easy A in the long run (beyond “GPA”)

and also with AP/ Aice really my schedule is

Euro. Psych. Chem. Algebra 2. English

I’ll just give a lot of study time to Euro

Im taking Euro and another ap class over the summer. Its easier when you have the answers in front of you LOL

I’ll be taking Geometry H and AP Human Geography over the summer lol.
