Drop AP Lit & Comp?

So its almost the end of the 1st six weeks at my school, and my grades are looking pretty great, except for AP Lit and Comp. I am failing this class with a 40. This happened because I was absent the day the summer reading assignment was due because of a stomach bug, and she would not accept it after 3 on that same day, even with my mom going up to the school personally and handing it to her. It counted three times. So should I drop it? I would like to keep it, but all I see it doing is dragging me down.

I would- first quarter/trimester senior year is important, and summer assignments (which tend to be worth a lot) can be almost impossible to recover from.

Would you be put in college prep or a higher level class?

I could transfer to AP English IV, which is less complex.

It seems to me that if you’re going from one AP to another AP you should be just fine. Do what will make you most comfortable–and it sounds like changing classes will do just that.

punch her in the faic

srsly tho, is the 40 ONLY because of the late grade, or have you been struggling the whole 6 weeks? And is there still a GOOD chance you’ll be able to bring it back up to an A?

The 40 is because of the late grade, plus she hasn’t put in grades since 3 weeks ago, and I’ve done all my work, so hopefully that’ll be good.
