Drop Calculus BC for Calculus AB

I am really not doing well in Calc BC right now. We are on chapter eight and have just finished the all convergence tests. AB calc is still on chapter four which BC covered in 2nd quarter. My grade is an 82 right now and we have a hige test on Friday. I am not even sure if I should take the BC test because I am having quite a bit of trouble. I never do my homework or study, so I am concerned. Can I learn chapter 8 in a few days or should I just drop? I plan on going to University of Arizona if that makes a difference.

If you're so concerned, why don't you try doing your homework and studying for a change?

Because I may already be too behind for it to be worth it.

Wow I'd like to know as well...we're kind of where you are and I'm in the same situation as you (Got a 82 last semester, struggling, but I do my homework). I think our AB's are where we were in December. I'm sticking to BC though, simply because there's no room for me to drop to AB though.

why don't you go to your teacher after school and tell him or her about your situation and ask for advice. I'm sure your teacher will be glad to teach you regardless of your situation. My partner is not really good at math, but he gets 95% because he tries really hard. He stays after school almost everyday with the math teacher. And 82 is pretty good for someone who doesn't do their homework. I've seen people with worse grade who do all their work. Stay there and you'll have a decent chance if you ask for help.

Going to the teacher is GREAT advice. I am struggling in apush, and having a 20 min conversation with my teacher helped me tremendously. It's all about communication. Show that you really want to get a good grade, and put in some effort, and you probably can come out with an A. Good luck!
