Hi

I received an outrageously low grade on my second prelim. (first prelim was in the 1st quartile/B+ at worst. Grade dropped more than 50 points and it's not like I studied significantly less)

If I receive a grade on the final that is in the first quartile, then I can get a B-, which is potentially the highest grade i can receive in this class.

Let's assume that except for this class, I get a gpa of 3.80. If I add this course to my GPA, then it drops to a 3.76.

Should I drop it for a W or stay the course? I am thinking about premed, which is why GPA is so important for me.

The median for this course is a solid B. cornell's transcript shows the median grade for the course next to the grade you received.

I've heard A>B>W>C. Is B- such a bad grade? Also, should I retake this course if I do decide to withdraw?
