hey guys,
I'm really worried about my chem grade right now. it's at an 83% right now and dropping. i don't think i could raise it by the end of the semester. Last semester, i started at a 96% but it kept dropping until at the end, it was at an 87&. Should i just go to regular chem?..or is a C in honors chem better than dropping down to regular? =/

oh yeah, does anyone know of any colleges like northwestern where you don't have to do pre-med? do you think a bad grade in chem would greatly lower my chances of getting into a med school like that? :(

Your in high school dont worry. In college you can major in anything you want and all you have to do is complete pre-med requirements. Make sure you have a basic knowledge of the core sciences from high school when entering college and you should be all set.

thanks, but i'm aiming at med school like northwestern, where you don't have to do pre-med (i think)..so don't they look at how i did in chem as a crucial factor when i apply senior year?

When you are applying for college senior year of high school it will matter your grade in that science class. A B or B+ won't hurt you much if you are in an honors class. You don't have to do "Pre-med" persay at any college, but you DO have to take Orgo, Chem, Bio, and Physics, taking these courses with the intent of going to med school is called "Pre-med." Med Schools will most likely not look at your high school grades, instead they will look at your college grades.
