I have been taking honors physics my senior year, and haven’t been too successful. Not to bring up the generic excuse of my teacher sucks, but she does. Would it be worth is to continue taking the class if my grades might not improve or switch to normal physics? I have been getting an A is AP calculus, so my math skills are not lacking, it is the teaching considering this my first C in high school.
Senior grades aren’t evaluated for admission. You would have to have a major screw up to have an offer rescinded after they accept you. Yes, they may ask for final transcripts but that’s to make sure you graduated. However, you should ask yourself if you are actually learning anything. If grades get more lower, you may be missing valuable concepts. If you must take physics in college, you may want to consider dropping back so that you’ll actually retain the knowledge, which would allow you to do better at PSU.
