Hi, I've just gotten my two pieces of paper congragulating me on deciding to go to Duke, and reading one of them it says that they will reevauate my grades if they are C's, which one of my third quarter grades were. Will they rescind their offer of admission for this? I'm really scared, if they do rescind their offer what will I need to do? Go to a community college? Someone please help.

You are fine. They will not rescind your offer because of one C. Just don’t get ALL C’s or any D’s or F’s and you will be fine. No, you will not have to go to community college. Just relax…

Will Duke even see your third quarter grades? For me, even though we get quarter grades sent home to our parents, only the semester grades end up on our transcript and will ultimately get sent to colleges. Regardless, I wouldn’t worry about one C. Two or three C’s and I’d be concerned…

They might see it? I think only final (transcript) grades count though.

If you’re really worried maybe attach a letter explaining why (try to make it sound legit even if isn’t ^^).

Good luck!
