Drop in selectivity

The results of this year surprised me. I posted the same concern in the Princeton thread. What is happening to the drop in selectivity?

Princeton has a 21% admit rate. Harvard 18%. Yale's early dropped by 20-30%. Columbia's by 5%. Has the admissions bubble burst?

I’m not sure what you’re talking about…Yale’s EA acceptance rate rose by like 1%, and the amount of applications declined by 18%. What are you referencing with the 20-30%?

This poster is a ■■■■■. You should see his post on the Princeton board. Just ignore and hope he doesn’t apply to Yale.

^Well, according to the same thread in the Princeton forum she’s already “gotten into” Princeton. :D

but may not attend because he/she feels Princeton’s standards have dropped so precipitously. By God, hope he/she doesn’t apply to Yale!

Hey, let’s be fair–OP may be one of those lopsided kids who just isn’t very good at math.
