Is there any way to get rid of your lowest grades on your transcripts? Something like a one time thing where you're allowed to drop a few credits from your transcript. Because I have 8 credits with an F and 6 with a D and I was wondering if there is any possible ways to drop these. I'm a freshman and my GPA is already messed up :(

nope. even if you retake the classes, the old grade still remains on your transcript.

o man that sucks, there should be this thing where you’re allowed to take off a max of 2 credits from any grade on your transcript per year (8 credits in 4 years), but you still need to take more courses to get those two credits back.

Tuff luck man, when this happens you should drop with a W. Keep in my mind that this is college, not high school. In HS, you can do basically nothing and still pass your classes and have just enough to get by. In college, if your priorities are not schoolwork, you are just wasting your time and money. The grades are the factors when you apply for internships/positions/etc. In the end, your degree will be useless if your record is full of bad grades/dropped classes.

Drop out and go to a community college, get some great grades and then transfer to a different school. GPA’s pretty much never transfer. Thats as close as you are going to get to a second chance.

Well you get what you deserve and don’t be looking for any remorse from anyone. I know a person from my high school that got plenty D’s and F’s on her freshman year. Deserved it 110%; all the time clubbing, going to the city and bumming around. She was even out of touch with exam dates and only found out 3 days after i reminded her. She eventually dropped out after freshman year and went to Brooklyn college… If I were you, I’d be in mass panic right now thinking the same thing.
