My understanding is that CC is limited in the number of schools that can be listed here. Also, my understanding is that Santa Fe University of Art and Design closed over a year ago (May 2018); as a result, can the MT moderators drop that institution, and add another program, in its place, as part of the list of schools offering MT?
I don't know what is the best MT program not listed here (curious what others think... Western Connecticut State, University of Florida, SUNY Geneseo, UAB, Missouri State, Utah, Kent State, Western Carolina, some other program? Is there interest in the Mods doing a poll among themselves (or broader) on this topic? Or is this spot being held for Rutgers (whenever they officially create the MT major announced in April 2017)?
I hardly ever hear discussion about Sam Houston State; its program could be fantastic but doesn't seem to generate a lot of talk on these boards. Can anyone share thoughts on Sam Houston State?
Can color scheme change in the school section so once a discussion is read it turns from white to grey instead of being grey from the outset?
Hey @Twelfthman - my understanding is the MT School list is old and outdated and there’s been no real push to clean it up or keep it current with the “best of”. The CC Mods are kept busy moving discussions from one board to another and keeping up with TOS violations. And “best” schools is always controversial on this board anyway.
Pretty sure no one’s “holding” MT slots for any one school! USC started its MT program this year, there are a ton of existing MT programs that don’t have a sub-board here. I think the explosion in MT programs outpaced the limits of the CC software.
Don’t even get me started on the new color scheme…
Does anyone know of any non prescreen schools still accepting auditions and applications?
