Drop Spanish 3 to Spanish 2?

<p>Recently, I have moved schools from a regular private school to a prestigious private school. At first when I took the Spanish 3 placement exam, I was denied acceptance into the class (People who transfer usually have to repeat the Foreign Language course, because the school has a higher standard). In the summer, I decided to catch up and self-study the subject, and eventually I did get in the class. Now that I'm in the class, I feel like I'm struggling.</p>

<p>Should I drop the class and repeat Spanish 2?
Will this hurt my chances of getting into an Ivy, if they should see this on my transcript?</p>

<p>I would try to stick it out. Ask the teacher for extra help if you need it. But if you really don’t understand it, switching to Spanish 2 won’t look as bad as a bad grade in Spanish 3.</p>
