Drop Spanish 4 for AP Psych

Drop Spanish 4 for AP Psych

Should I drop Spanish 4 for AP Psych? Spanish 5 is AP so next year would be AP. I am doing pretty good in Spanish and I like it. But in the college I want to go to UVA they have a required foreign language requirement. I can pass it by an exam or by taking the SAT 2. But these don't give you credit only exemption. AP Spanish gives you both. So should I just take AP Spanish or drop it for AP Psych. Also I don't like AP Psych too much. It's just that I feel Spanish might be a waste.

Is there a reason why you are considering taking AP Psych? You seem to just give a list of reasons why you should take AP Spanish, but nothing for Psych except for "I don't like it, but Spanish could be a waste."

Just take AP Spanish and get the credit. Intro Spanish courses here are a waste of time.

without a doubt take the spanish. even if you don't get the credit and just the exemption, it is well worth it. the language classes (101-202) are gpa killers and are really a waste of time.

def. go for the Spanish for two specific reasons. Firstly, colleges like to see a consist foreign language curriculum as part of your courseload. Secondly, from what I hear, intro languages classes are a waste of time at any college and taking a.p. spanish and getting a 4 or 5 on the exam would exempt you from this " waste of time " later on. Becuase of its implication for you later on I'd def go with A.P. Spanish
