Drop Statistics AP?

School starts next week and I got my schedule which they messed up like they do every year. I was supposed to be out at noon everyday so I could intern at my dads office for our schools senior project. To do this I might have to drop Statistics AP. Now, Math has never been and will never be a good subject for me. I've taken Geometry, Algebra 2, and Functions Trig and Stat in high school. Got B's straight through in all the classes. I signed up for Stat AP this year because my counselor said the UC's really want to see you challenging yourself senior year and I figured I might be able to knock out a year of math in college by taking it.

Would I be able to do well in Stat AP (get at least a 3)? I dropped Trig/Pre-Calc last year and took the FTS class instead. Obviously a lot depends on the teacher, however, AP math might not be a bad thing to drop considering math really isn't my thing.

Hmmmm.... If you really don't understand math, I think you may want to take the AP Stats class. If you don't take it I feel like you may be somewhat behind others when at college. Yes, math probably won't be your major, but taking Stats in HS will allow you to take one fewer math course in college. Unless the internship is really amazing, I'd take stats.

Stat barely involves any real math. All the mathematical operations can be done by calculators easily, and it's mostly statistical interpertation and experiment design. Stat is also vital for a huge amount of majors, not just math.

I'm still thinking about it, but if I did drop Stat AP I'd be put in regular Statistics.

And, yes, the internship is killer.
