Droping classes after already being accepted.

Alright so heres the deal. I have 5 AP classes this year including AP Government. And i really hate the class... like i seriously cant stand politics and the class is really hard in light of this. My question is: Will Rutgers care if I drop one of my APs after they already accepted me to the pharmacy program or will that be a problem? Dropping this class will really make my life so much easier.

DS considered dropping an AP class in January of senior year. I called RU Pharm, as well as his guidance counselor. Bottom line is that his acceptance was based on his current schedule - and it CAN be withdrawn if there was a schedule change or a drop in performance. My feeling was as long as he got a C in the class in question, he would have been fine.

Guidance told him dropping was not an option if he did not want to jeporadize his #1 choice of college. He did opt to keep his schedule the full year and did fine.

As a parent, I just did not want his rank to drop so much that is would affect his scholarship.

Good luck!

Not a good idea to drop any Senior classes, esp. not the academic ones. Our H.S. requires the student to write letters to all schools applied to, letting them know that you dropped a class, and explaining why.
