DROPPED a CLASS after i sent my app out

hey, i just got accepted to NYU Stern ED and i dropped my AP Spanish 2 class like right after i sent my app out.........they won't rescind my app right? my major is going to b finance, if that matters at all

You ought to call admissions and ask how the drop will affect your standing.

u really think I should? i mean idw draw any unnecessary attention you know? the other courses im taking are:

AP Lit
AP AB/BC
AP Physics
AP Gov
AP ISR
History of American Film
3D Animation
then gym obv.

Clearly you're taking A LOT of challenging courses and it probably should be fine (I am pretty sure it will be), but I would call anyhow.

wait for other input though, i am by no means an authority

You positively should call and explain the circumstances, especially to a school like that. If NYU sees that you dropped it later without explaining, they may think that you are slacking. This is coming from my guidance counselor.

It's better to tell them ASAP than have them find out via Midyear Report. Then you will have major explaining to do. Even now you should have a good reason why.

some schools will rescind/reject you if you drop a class without telling them. i think it's a stipulation on the common app.

They'll find out anyway, either thru your midterm report or your final transcript after you graduate. Maybe you're thinking "will they really notice 1 missing class on my transcript, out of all the transcripts they need to review?" Yes, they will. Believe it or not, there are people in admissions who have jobs just for verifying applicants. You make their day when they catch some applicant who is shading things; for one thing, it shows the school they need them so they'll be hired back next year. So I guarantee they'll notice; whether it makes a difference in your acceptance, I don't know, but they're definitely going to have a more jaundiced outlook if they catch you lying to them rather than if you're upfront about the change. Owning up to your actions is called maturity, and you're showing a big lack of it by hoping they won't notice the change. That's reason enough for a school to want to rescind you...

I agree. Definitely just call and be safe. Dropping a class won't hurt you. They won't rescind an offer for dropping a language class, but if you don't call they could interpret it as you trying to decieve them or something.
